Corps Population Protection Officer:

- increases his professional qualification, focuses on gaining the expertise of an instructor of preventive educational activities (PVČ), or expertise of a population protection specialist

- monitors legal regulations in the field of population protection and participates in training organized by the professional council of population protection (or prevention) at a higher level

- uses the acquired knowledge of forms and methods of PVČ in the field of protection of the population

- supports the activities of the prevention and education officer in the popularization of fire protection and population protection in the local media (local radio, cable television, local press)

- participates in the organization of preventive educational events in the church and for the public

- cooperates with the youth officer and acquaints young firefighters with the basics of population protection

- assists in acquiring the expertise of population protection (technician, specialist, PVČ instructor) by SDH members or other interested persons (eg municipal staff)

- according to the requirements of the municipality, assists in fulfilling the tasks imposed on the municipality by legal regulations in the field of population protection

- in accordance with the instructions of the corps committee, ensures the creation and operation of a group of volunteers for the protection of the population, or involvement of SDH members in the activities of civil protection facilities or other structures designed to perform the tasks of protection of the population

  Leader of the group of volunteers for the protection of the population (SDOO)

- together with the church management, organizes and manages the activities of the group of volunteers for the protection of the population

- implements decisions of church bodies that relate to the activities of the SDOO and interprets the interests and opinions of the group at meetings of church bodies

- cooperates with the commander of the SDH unit of the municipality, or with a technician for the protection of the population

- takes care of SDOO members in terms of equipment and provision of training

- creates conditions for the functioning of the SDOO base
