A little about the history of the SDH Sobíňov field unit

Continuation of the history of the volunteer fire brigade in Sobíňov, which dates back to the time of its establishment in 1881

The first documents recorded in the chronicle about the predecessor of the JSDH are in 1996, when the unit was inspected this year by two exits, the village and the Ždírec district, to fire at the Dekora Ždírec building. These were the first steps towards the current actionability of the field unit.

In the following years, the unit took care of the technology and recruited new members willing to sacrifice their time for the enthusiasm to help others in need. Between 1996 and 2004, the unit operated purely on the voluntary basis of members and with less support from the municipal authority. In 2005, a new unit of the Sobíňov volunteer fire brigade was established, working closely with the municipality. The unit was equipped with protective equipment that meets strict safety conditions. This year, the unit went to seven events, mostly of a firefighting nature and helping professional firefighters. The first sharp exit of the unit was a fire of dry grass around the track with an area of 300 x 100 m2, caused by a spark from a passing locomotive. With the increasing complexity of interventions, the unit made a number of adjustments and improvements to the equipment, participated in training and coaching. As of December 31, 2005, the unit had 12 members, of which five trained carriers of breathing equipment and five engineers. In the following years, the unit devoted itself to deepening its knowledge, acquiring new equipment for the CAS-25, a power plant, a chainsaw, Saturn breathing apparatus and rope technology for self-rescue. There were more interventions and demands on the field unit, thematic exercises, verification exercises and annual training of the unit with the close participation of the surrounding corps. In 2009, there were big changes. With the cooperation of HZS and the municipal office, the unit moved from JPO-V to JPO-III, which again increased the demands on the members of the unit in the field of education. New training was provided for commanders, engineers, drivers, carriers of breathing equipment and, last but not least, the basics of first aid. With the increasing number of events, the number of members of the field unit also increased to 22 registered on 31 December 2014. The following years were in the spirit of previous years and year-round concern for CAS-25 technology as it is one of the oldest in the district. With the cooperation of the municipality, we are gradually renewing technical equipment, breathing apparatus, radiocommunication equipment and lighting technology. A unit of the volunteer fire brigade of the village of Sobíňov performs fire extinguishing and rescue work during natural disasters and other extraordinary events. The unit performs its activities in accordance with generally binding legal regulations, in particular Act No. 133/1958 Coll., On fire protection, as amended, with Decree 247/2001 Coll., On the organization and activities of Fire Protection Units, as amended by Decree No. 226/2005 Sb. And with Act No. 239/2000 Coll., On the integrated rescue system and on the amendment of some later acts.

I believe that with the joint diligence, effort and responsible fulfillment of the tasks of all members, also with the help of the municipal office and other IRS units, we will fulfill the essence that has been tested for years.

To God for honor, to my neighbor for help.
