1. General requirements for the performance of work Engineers of fire brigades may perform their function only with the required professional competence 1).
It is only possible to include firefighters to perform the activities of a machinist if he is older than 21 years of age, his driving license must correspond to the firefighter being operated, at least group B.
This requirement does not apply to mechanics intended only to operate a fire hydrant where a driving license is not required.
The engineer 1 must have the necessary knowledge and skills specified for the function of firefighter (acquired by completing basic training). They must also have the necessary knowledge and skills to: - manage firefighting equipment under normal and difficult conditions, - use, operate and maintain the machinery of their fire brigade in a serviceable condition (hereinafter "designated equipment"), - deployment tactics, - fire water supply.

KNOWS:
basic concepts of hydromechanics, especially water shock, water column pressure, pressure losses, cavitation and dilution in connection with the function of fire pumps, foaming admixtures and irrigation equipment (pumps), the driver's tasks when leaving the PO unit and transport to the scene, tactical principles for location of fire equipment at the place of intervention, methods of water supply and transport, methods of connecting fire equipment to fire water sources, fire pipes and semi-stable fire extinguishing equipment, travel routes in the fire extinguishing circuit from the place of dislocation of your fire brigade, places in the fire extinguishing circuit the possibility of the passage of fire equipment in terms of reduced load-bearing capacity of the road, reduced height or width of the road passage profile or other obstacle.
CAN:
describe the travel routes in the extinguishing circuit.

Technical training

Machine service

KNOWS:
tasks of the machine service at the PO unit, documentation of the machine service kept at its PO unit (in written or possibly also in electronic form), provisions of the Code of Service Performance in HZS units, SDH municipalities and SDH companies related to the use of designated means, safety principles work, procedures and conditions for maintenance, repairs and operation of specified devices to the extent specified in the operating instructions, safety limits for the use of specified devices and reasons for which it is forbidden to use designated devices, basic tactical and technical data of designated devices, types, scope and fire pump user test procedures and parameter limits that are verified during fire pump user tests.
CAN:
keep records and records of operation, inspections and tests of specified equipment, control specified equipment, perform their maintenance and checks of their operability, control specified equipment in an emergency, perform user control of the fire pump.
IS ABLE:

identify the fault at the specified devices and rectify it within the scope of the operating instructions.

Mechanical service - fire technology management
IT IS LISTED:
with the most common causes of traffic accidents of firefighting equipment.
KNOWS:
safety principles laid down for drivers and crew when leaving and driving to intervention, causes which reduce the driver's ability to drive vehicles, safety principles laid down for driving by firefighting equipment belonging to his means, principles for driving a vehicle exercising the right of way, safe principles and defensive driving, factors that affect the possibility of a critical driving situation, safety principles for setting up fire equipment (eg near the trolley, in a traffic accident on the highway), the procedure for connecting and disconnecting a fire trailer within the team and the procedure for checking its connection, towing firefighting equipment and methods of emergency reaching.
CAN:
apply the principles of safe and defensive driving, connect and disconnect the fire trailer within the team and park (brake, support, etc.) the fire trailer.
