STANDARD OF KNOWLEDGE FOR THE FUNCTION OF FIREFIGHTERS IN THE SDH UNIT OF THE MUNICIPALITY
1. General requirements for the performance of work Members of SDH units of municipalities may independently perform firefighting services only after completing basic training 1), be over 18 years of age and medically fit (Section 65, Paragraph 4 of Act No. 133/1985 Coll., On fire protection, as amended).
In accordance with § 40 paragraph 4 of Decree No. 247/2001 Coll., On the organization and activities of fire protection units, as amended, each member of the voluntary fire brigade must participate in basic training for at least 40 working hours, no later than one year from the appointment to the position in the SDH unit of the municipality.
They must have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the standard tasks assigned to the fire brigade units and to safely manage the activities of the firefighter in the performance of the service independently and in the team at the scene.

with the extinguishing circuit of its fire brigade, with the basics of the theory of combustion and extinguishing and with the development and spread of fire, with the exchange of gases in fire and with the methods and principles of ventilation of combustion products, with the purpose and function of fire dividing structures and fire safety equipment.
KNOWS:
organization of the departure of his fire brigade, tasks of the firefighter when the fire brigade leaves and transport to the place of intervention, objectives and procedure of the survey, principles of movement in an unknown environment, nature of individual types of danger at the place of intervention and expected occurrence, method of protection against danger firefighters, prescribed method of marking main switches and caps of electricity, water and gas, procedure for switching off electricity, color marking of cylinders with technical compressed and liquefied gases and marking of premises where they are located, separation of flammable substances and nature of their danger, possibilities and methods rescue of persons, animals and property, methods of searching for endangered persons, their search and marking of searched areas, properties and tactics of using extinguishing agents in the equipment of your fire brigade, methods of opening ceiling structures, walls, floors and roofs without unreasonable damage and with regard to maintaining their stability, principles of protection of traces and evidence for cross-cutting n the origin of fires, the principles of directing traffic on roads.
CAN:

apply extinguishing agents, move in the usual ways at the scene and is able to move without the possibility of visual contact with the environment and use commonly used materials, search and use underground, above-ground and wall hydrants, give instructions to direct traffic and stop vehicles on roads.

KNOWS:
general principles in the implementation of combat deployments, rules for the transfer of material resources, the purpose of the use of basic knots, the principles of security for work at height and above free depth and self-rescue.
CAN:
to perform the tasks of a firefighter resulting from his functional classification in a team and a team of reduced numbers according to the established procedure, signals for water supply and warning signals, tie and use basic nodes, secure oneself against falling, perform self-rescue, including emergency abseiling methods .

the types, characteristics, functions and correct procedure for the use of material means, which are supply, discharge and auxiliary accessories, portable fire extinguishers, portable fire ladders, firefighter protective equipment, self-contained breathing apparatus, means for working at height, communication means and other material means, if the fire brigade is equipped with them on the basis of its predestination, protective properties of protective equipment, scope of user control, method of treatment and reasons leading to decommissioning of these means, place of storage of material means on fire equipment and method of securing them against unintentional movement.
CAN:
use material means safely and correctly in the equipment of your PO unit, maintain the used protective means.

IT IS LISTED:
with the tasks of mechanical, chemical, technical and communication services in the PO unit.
KNOWS:
principles of communication and operation of radio network equipment and principles of radio operation (if equipped in the PO unit), tasks of the firefighter in the use of material means of mechanical, chemical, technical and communication services in the equipment of his PO unit, especially in their acceptance, inspection and maintenance.
CAN:
conduct communication in the PO unit.
